When Is The Best Time to Book Your Virginia Beach Newborn Photos?

The best time to reserve your newborn photos in Virginia Beach is as early as possible – some of my clients even book as soon as they find out they are pregnant. However, I personally suggest booking during your second trimester, which is between 14 and 28 weeks. By then, most mamas are starting to feel a bit more energetic, and it’s early enough that you can relax knowing your session is already planned.

I only take a limited number of newborn clients each month to allow for flexibility around due dates—so the earlier you book, the better chance I have of securing a spot just for you.

When Do You Take Newborn Photos In Virginia Beach?

For those dreamy, snuggly newborn portraits where the baby is still curled up and oh-so-sleepy, we’ll schedule your session to happen within the first two weeks. This is the sweet spot when babies are most sleepy and cozy. Imagine soft swaddles, tiny toes, and snuggles with your mama.

Of course, every baby is different, and sometimes life doesn’t go quite according to plan. Whether your little one arrives early, late, or needs extra time before photos—don’t worry! I build flexibility into my calendar so we can adjust as needed.

Still want newborn photos in Virginia Beach, but your baby is already here? You’re not too late! Just reach out as soon as you can. While those early weeks are ideal for that fresh newborn look, I also love documenting older babies in their first month or two of life.
