Capturing joyful family photos at the beach is my specialty as a Virginia Beach family photographer. With the North End beaches, there is less traffic than the boardwalk area beaches, and that makes them ideal for family photos.
One of my favorite beaches for family photos in Virginia Beach is at the North End. And while I won’t share the exact street/location in the blog, I’m so excited to feature this beautiful family’s session to give you inspiration for your future family session in Virginia Beach!
Your photographer will guide you to their preferred spots for family photos. Just be mindful, as these locations are usually in a neighborhood. We always want to be respectful of those who live near the beach access or those vacationing in the nearby homes!
It was a balmy 100-degree July session for these annual family portraits with this family of 3. You can’t tell just how HOT it was that evening when looking at the photos, but trust me, it was extreme. However, we all loved how the images turned out, and I had a blast while capturing the sweet energy and connection this family has!
Best Beaches in Virginia Beach for Families
Personally, the best beaches I’ve found for both leisure and family photos are going to be at the Virginia Beach North End! I love how WIDE open the beaches are & how healthy the dune grass is. What’s especially unique is that we often see passing Navy ships.
Virginia Beach is varied in its community, but our military community is strong and ever-present, and seeing those ships sure does remind me how safe our community is thanks to our servicemen and women!
